Daily Devotional: Ready to Soar!

Read Isaiah 40:31

This was one of the first bible verses I ever memorized. It was an easy one to learn, because it was a song we sang in church. I didn’t realize at the age of seven what a significant part of my life this verse would become. Isaiah 40:31 has become my life verse. It also is the foundational verse for my business, Total Strength Fitness.

It is beyond my complete understanding how it is that God, the all-powerful Creator of all things, the One whose knowledge is unending, and whose greatness is immense, actually knows each one of us. He cares for us and knows every minute detail about each of us. He gives us strength when we trust in Him. It is a strength that allows us to achieve absurd goals, endure the toughest things that life throws at us, and turns our defeats into astonishing victories.

Have you ever just thrown caution to the wind and fully placed your trust in God? It really should be a no-brainer. After all, He is God!  I do have a ways to go, but I am striving toward the day when I finally leave all my concerns, worries, and fears behind and fully place my trust in the One who made me, and whose love never fails – even when mine falls short. I think I’m ready to soar!
