Who is Colleen?
Colleen Prudhomme CPT, BCS, UESCA Certified Running Coach, Certified Speed & Agility Coach, Certified Weightlifting Performance Coach began Total Strength Fitness in 2016. Over the years, she has found that her strengths lie in working with athletes who want to perform better at their sport. Colleen is a driven athlete, but even more than this, it is her passion to help others discover what they really can accomplish in the sport they love. Every athlete who has worked with Colleen has heard her say, “You are stronger than you think you are,” because it simply is true. So many athletes have yet to discover all that they are capable of doing. She knows that our limits are far further out than we realize.
Colleen works with youth athletes in her group programs such as Total Athlete Training , Optimal Performance Running Academy, and Total Strength Kids Tri Club. She also has developed and led the Rockford High School Track and Field team strength program.
Colleen also works one on one with athletes of all ages, providing a training program revolved around what that athlete needs. She provides strength and conditioning training as well as speed and agility coaching.
Colleen also coaches distance runners and triathletes. She has helped runners achieve goals ranging from sprints to 100 mile distances. Because she is a certified running coach, certified personal trainer and certified weightlifting performance coach, Colleen is able to provide a run-specific strength program for runners that is meant to help her runners achieve their full potential while staying injury-free. Whether you want to crush your mile time on the track, qualify for Boston, or run your first (or fastest) ultramarathon trail race, Colleen understands and will devlier the training needed to get you there.

It is no secret that each one of us is made up of mind, body and soul. These three components have significant impact on each other. Strength of soul leads to a strong mind. A strong mind is willing to strive to build physical strength. A strong and active body, in turn, impacts the brain and thus the mind’s ability to cope with stressors and challenging circumstances. In sports and in life, we overcome adversity and experience success when we’ve trained the mind like we’ve trained the body – to be ready to achieve victory no matter what comes our way.
Total Strength Fitness works with athletes from youths who are in the early stages of sports training to seniors who continue to find joy in sport and competition. Total Strength Fitness also works with clients who have decided to return to a place of health and fitness after some time away from an active lifestyle. No matter what level of athletic performance you want to achieve, Colleen understands the key role that strength plays in keeping you injury-free and able to achieve your sports and fitness goals.
