TOTAL ATHLETE TRAINING Fall 2020 is designed for the high school female athlete who wants to achieve her maximum potential! The purpose of this program is to prevent injury and improve athletic skills by focusing on core, glute, and leg strength. Total Athlete Training also teaches the student athlete how to strengthen the mind which leads to greater confidence, performance, and enjoyment of the sport. This program was designed by and is led by Colleen Prudhomme. Colleen is the owner of Total Strength Fitness, a certified personal trainer, track coach, strength coach and running coach. Her favorite clients are athletes who are ready to achieve their potential! Colleen finds that success comes when an athlete is willing to work hard, work right, and has fun while doing it!

Colleen’s strength priorities for her athletes are developing strong core, glutes, and hips while also making certain that each move is done with proper form. One of her key desires is to eliminate the potential for knee injury. Colleen is known for her tough workouts, but also for her fun spirit and her belief in the value of every athlete’s God given talent, skills and worth.

Weekly Workouts will include:

  • Core, Glute/Hip and Leg Strength Work
  • Balance and coordination
  • Conditioning
  • Flexibility/Mobility
  • Speed and Acceleration Skills

Fall 2020 dates are October 10th – December 12th. There will be 10 sessions that will take place Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.

COVID-related note: Total Athlete Training will be similar to past sessions;  however at this time, the number of participants will be limited in order to comply with current health requirements set by the state of Minnesota. If an athlete is experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sneezing, and other cold or flue-like symptoms, the athlete is expected to not attend TAT on that day. Masks will not be required per the following exception:

  • When participating in indoor physical exercise—such as in a gym or fitness center—where the level of exertion makes wearing a face covering difficult, as long as social distancing can be maintained at all times. (Face Covering Requirements and Recommendations under Executive Order 20-81)
